The Old Farmhouse is a recently converted barn which has been configured to cater for modern day living and provides generously proportioned accommodation. To the front of the house are the reception rooms which enjoy natural light and views from the south facing windows. The sitting room has a lovely stone fireplace with multi-fuel stove and double window with window seat. The bright double aspect dining room is next to the kitchen and has a doorway into the beautiful garden room with feature exposed stone wall, French doors to the garden and far reaching views over the surrounding countryside. To the rear of the house is the kitchen/breakfast room which has range of cream fitted units with integrated dishwasher, electric Aga and space and plumbing for American fridge freezer. The utility room and WC are also located to the rear with the back door leading to the courtyard. To the first floor is the master bedroom with en-suite shower room, walk-in wardrobe and south facing views. There are two further double bedrooms, both with cupboards, served by a well-appointed family bathroom with free standing bath, large shower, WC and twin basins on solid oak vanity unit.
The Byre is a substantial barn conversion with flexible accommodation, entirely suitable for full time occupation or would also make a wonderful holiday cottage. The ground floor accommodation has sitting room with feature stone fireplace with electric stove, dining room, and central staircase to the front. To the rear is a farmhouse kitchen/breakfast room with a range of cream fitted units, electric range, integral dishwasher and space for table and chairs. Also to the rear is a utility room, WC and back door to courtyard. The first floor has a master bedroom with en-suite shower room, and a further double bedroom to the front of the house. To the rear is the third double bedroom and family bathroom which has a modern white suite comprising bath, wash basin, WC and large shower.
Curlew Cottage is a newly converted barn which offers ideal accommodation for a holiday let or ancillary accommodation for the main house. The ground floor is a fabulous open plan space with sitting room, modern fitted kitchen with oven, small hob, and space for washing machine. The first floor offers a good sized double bedroom with a stylish en-suite shower room.
The property is approached from the quiet country lane and the driveway sweeps around to the front of the house to a generous parking area. To the side of the house is an enclosed garden which has stunning views to the east and south, enjoying a high degree of sunlight. A stone flagged terrace is accessed from the garden room, which then leads onto a lawned garden with well stocked borders. Curlew Cottage has a garden area across the driveway which would be private space, if the property was let out.

Greenfield Farm is situated on the edge of the unspoilt North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The surrounding rural area is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and the stunning surrounding scenery is linked by a network of public footpaths, ideal for walking and cycling. The C2C cycle route, an award-winning national cycle route, is within easy walking distance of Greenfield Farm and links to a further network of other disused railways and tracks, including the Lanchester Valley Walk which runs between Consett and Durham.
Nearby Lanchester is a popular and thriving village set amidst beautiful countryside of mainly pasture and woodland. The traditional village offers a wide range of everyday amenities including a range of shops, pharmacy, post office, a selection of restaurants and pubs, an active community centre and churches. The village green is frequently used for community events.
Wolsingham, a charming dales market town situated by the River Wear is also nearby. This small market town remains much as it did hundreds of years ago and the annual Wolsingham Agricultural Show on the first weekend in September, which was established in 1763, is one of the oldest shows in the country. Wolsingham provides a good range of everyday facilities including doctors and dentist surgeries, chemist, independent grocers and other local businesses. Nearby Consett offers several supermarkets, larger stores and professional services while Durham Newcastle and Hexham are also within easy reach and provide comprehensive cultural, educational, recreational and shopping facilities.
For schooling, Lanchester offers a choice of popular primary schools and an excellent secondary school, whilst Wolsingham Primary School and Wolsingham School & Community College are also close by. There are also a number of private schools available nearby in both Durham and Newcastle.
For the commuter, Greenfield Farm is ideally placed for access to the major centres of the north east. The A68 provides access both north and south linking to both the motorway network and to the A69 for quick connection to Newcastle in the east and Carlisle in the west. Newcastle International Airport and Durham Tees Valley Airport are both within easy reach. Newcastle and Durham offer main line rail services to major UK cities north and south.
